On Sunday afternoon, Team Despi volunteers will be getting together to connect with one another, meet their volunteer coordinators and learn what we need to do in order to win! 

Come on down! We'll be at 61 Benton's Road from 4-5pm on Sunday. Bring your family and friends!

 Not all volunteering involves talking to people on the street or at their front door!

We need letterboxers, phone-bankers, minders, admin folks, and plenty more! So if you want to join the movement (and join our Slack!) please click on the link below and choose the roles you can help with.

If you know of any businesses, homes or properties that might like a corflute, sign or flyer to display, let us know! We're also looking for people to ask businesses and homes if they'll display a Despi sign!

If you're keen to jump on board and drop some flyers when you're running, walking your dog or just strolling the neighbourhood, let us know!

We need an army to take us to Canberra, so join us on the front lines! 

Rosebud door knocking
Thursday 24rd March, Rosebud

Today, Despi will be doorknocking in Rosebud with several members of Team Despi! Let's hear what the Rosebud local have to say about the local and national issues that are top of mind. 

Sorrento Meet & Greet
Thursday 24th March, Sorrento Main Street, 3-4pm

Despi will be meeting with Sorrento locals and small business owners to discuss their concerns both locally and federally. Thus far, we've found that folks are very concerned with housing and staff shortages, so we will be sure to push for community-based solutions to these issues. 

Sorrento Community Centre
Thursday 24th March, Sorrento Community Centre, 4-5:30pm

This afternoon, Despi will be meeting with a group of community members at the Sorrento Community Centre to discuss issues relating to climate change and sustainability. What an empowering group of people!
 

Daniel Bleakley
Friday 25th March

Tomorrow, Despi has the privilege to meet up with Daniel Bleakley to drive his Tesla and discuss the importance of a national transition plan! Daniel is a climate activist and blogger with a massive following, and Despi is thrilled to be going along. Keep your eyes out for the video when it's released!

Water Polo
Friday 25th March, 7-9pm, Yawa Aquatic Centre

On Friday evening, Despi will be heading down to the Yawa Aquatic Centre to check out the local water polo. Despi is proud to have opened the Aquatic Centre as Mayor, and can't wait to see these water athletes in action!

Hastings Park Run
Saturday 26th March, Hastings Parl 

Once again, Despi will be heading over the Hastings for the day to take part in the Hastings Park Run! She really is an avid runner and deeply involved in the running community. If you catch her down there, go and say hi! 

Hastings Doorknocking
Saturday 26th March, Hastings area

On Saturday afternoon, Despi will be chatting with the locals of Hastings right on their doorstep. If you can, put your hand up to join her! 

Volunteer Catch up
Sunday 27th March, 4-5pm, 61 Bentons Road, Mornington.

Yep, Despi will be there! We're hoping to get as many people down as possible, so bring your family and friends!

We have stacks of Despi flyers, corflutes and signs over here at Team Despi. If you're willing to put up a sign, corflute or want some flyers, just let us know!
